Immigrant Workers (TKI)

1. Causes

Indonesia societies choose to be an Immigrant Workers  because of many reasons: 

• Poverty

Poverty in Indonesia still become a big problem. There are many people cannot suffice their life because of poverty. The number of poor people in Indonesia commit a crime because they can get a job. They become a robber, kidnapper, or pickpocket. They are better become an Immigrant Workers  than commit a crime.

• Less Job Vacancy

Indonesia populations as time goes on is growing up. It can make work force become icrease too. Work force age is between 15 to 64 years old. On the other hand, job vacancy is not enough for work force. So, it make them to be unemployment. They are better work as a servant in other country than become a jobless in their hometown.

• Facilities of Supplaying of Immigrant Workers 

Indonesia has labor company (PJ TKI) which gives facilities for opening job vacancy; consequently it make them to apply for that job.  

2. Advantages

• Increase of The Standar of Living

In a short time the Immigrant Workers  will get much money from their job. They enjoy their job, although their job as a servant. The important of their life is about money, even their job is not really good. Many of them have good house in their hometown. 

• Giving Foreign exchange

Immigrant Workers  is a good benefit for Indonesia. They give Foreign exchange and make Indonesia richer than before.

3. Disadvantages

• Torturing of Immigrant Workers 

Many torturing cases showed that Immigrant Workers  got violence from their boss. Their boss gave violence for them without clear reason, although not all of them made a false of the job. They could not against because of their position. Our country did not give full attention to them until they got a bed case. They past away in other country because our country did not make a good regulation of Immigrant Workers.

• Decreasing Good Reputation of Indonesia

Good reputation of a country begins from what the country did. The appearance of violent case of Immigrant Workers  shows that Indonesia has bad reputation for keeping the society in other country. 

4. Solution

Indonesia should give enough job vacancy for the society with creating new entreprenuers as the produser of job vacancy. Our goverenment should give scholarship for the clever student of senior high school to be an entreprenuer. They must establish a new business and provide job vacancy to indonesia society.

Indonesia should change education system. The good system of education can make a good future which can guarantee a job when they have gradueted from school. A school should focus in talent and interest of students. They do not master for all lesson, but they just master one of the lesson which is mastered by them. They will be happier to study the lesson which they like; then, they will be master of it. Mastering in one lesson will make them easy to get job or make job vacancy from their competence.
